Burglaries in the Bloxham Area

Alert message sent 11/01/2018 10:30:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

To all residents,

There have been a number of burglaries that have occurred in the Bloxham area over the past week which we would lie to make you all aware of.

A number of these burglaries have been conducted whereby the offenders have gained entry to certain properties through the windows. All of these burglaries have occurred at various different times of the day.

Naturally, we would like to make you all aware in order to induce an element of vigilance and home security. We as a force would like to make sure all residents are mindful of the many ways and means of ensuring the safety of your homes.

We want to advise residents that any time of the day where your home is not occupied (weather you are out and about, at work, or in bed at night) that all your doors and windows are closed properly and securely locked.

If you have alarms fitted then please make sure they are fully operational and always put them on when leaving your home unoccupied. If you do not have an alarm and wish to acquire one for your home, then there are many websites you can visit in order to do so:

ADT

https://www.adt.co.uk/

Executive Systems

http://www.executive-systems.co.uk/

Yale

https://www.yale.co.uk/en/yale/couk/

Safe

https://www.safe.co.uk/

These websites also have a plethora of other home security devices that would vastly aid the safety of your home, including various locks for your doors and windows, motion censored lights, CCTV cameras and Intercom systems. All of which, come highly recommended by the Police.

If you have any information that may help towards the investigation of these burglaries, or if you see any persons in your area acting suspiciously, then we strongly advise you to ring our non-emergency number, 101. In an emergency situation please ring 999.

Be vigilant and stay safe in your homes.

Regards
