Alert message sent 12/02/2019 09:41:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Earley.

At approximately 8.55pm on Thursday 7 February , a BMW was stolen from the rear of a house in Amber Close, Earley. The car key was taken from the hallway, which the offenders entered via an unlocked front door and had only been in for a few seconds. A dark coloured estate car was seen parked on the opposite side of the road to the front of the house before the incident and drove off at the same time the BMW was taken.

The stolen BMW, displaying different number plates, was recovered from Rowan Drive in Woodley in the early afternoon of Friday 8 February. The original number plates from the stolen BMW were found in Hawker Way.

We would like to appeal to anyone who may have been in the area between 8.30pm and 11.30pm on Thursday 7 February, either on foot, public transport or anyone who may have dash cam footage to get in touch. You can use the online form on our website or call our non-emergency telephone number 101 and quote the reference number 43190040676.

Alternatively, if you have information but wish to remain anonymous, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online by visiting https://crimestoppers-uk.org/ No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
